Quickstart

Three steps to run your first Build Loop.

Step 1: Learn the framework

Read through the Build Loop framework before you start. Understanding the four modes — Frame, Create, Validate, and Learn — will make everything else click.

  1. What is the Build Loop? — the core idea in plain terms
  2. Framework overview — how the four modes fit together
  3. Frame, Create, Validate, Learn — each phase in detail

This takes about 15 minutes. Don't skip it.

Step 2: Sign up and access your resources

Create an account to unlock the Toolkit — your private workspace for running loops.

Once you're in, head to Resources to find the Loop Plan document and other tools. The Loop Plan is the core artefact you'll use to run your loop. Download it before you move to Step 3.

Step 3: Complete the Loop Plan and start

Open the Loop Plan document and fill in the five fields:

  • Outcome — the metric you want to move and why it matters now
  • Affected user — who experiences the problem and what they're trying to do
  • Evidence — three observable signals that confirm the problem is real
  • Decision — the specific, answerable choice this loop must produce
  • Hypothesis — your best guess at the root cause, in one sentence

Be specific. Vague inputs produce vague plans.

Once complete, share the document with your team and set a start date. Day 1 begins when everyone has read it.
